The Cross Borough Youth Forum is funded by the Lambeth Council and we are supported by CPCDT (Crystal Palace Community Development Trust). The forum is a collection of young people from across the five London Boroughs of Lambeth, Lewisham, Bromley, Croydon and Soutwark. The forum is designed to discuss and tackle local issues that affect young people and those working with us in the five boroughs.
Some young people get involved for one session, others for more. It’s up to the individual. All young people can get involved. If you are interested in getting active in your community, then come and join.
The Cross Borough Youth Forum is a mobile forum which interact with young people about forum issues in their current environment settings i.e. School Councils, UK Youth Parliament groups , Youth Clubs, Secondary School PHSE classes and hold exhibition stands at young people festivals/ events etc.
Once registered with the form participants are invited to get involved online in Facebook discussions, Survey Monkey questionnaires, talk2croydon polls and join a Blackberry chat room. They would also be invited to help plan or attend the end of project showcase event.
At the core of this project is a team of dedicated and passionate young (16+) workers who provide peer-down facilitation to create a positive, young person-led environment for the involvement of children and young people. They create, design and deliver all project work.
